Since Gnag the Nameless had conquered the free lands of Skree, the Fangs had occupied all the towns, exacting taxes and being nasty to the free Skreeans. Fortunately, the epilogue makes it better by implying that Kalmar has found a way to bring him back to life. But that moment, where I was like, Ooh, their story isnt over yet led to what I love the most about the whole story, which was the ending, the last-last part. If you think about what prophetic speech is doing well, it is trying to kind of catch people, get their attention, help them to see this thing thats happening that is wrong, and we need to repent of it.
